jackson is already able to be up for longer! usually he's been eating and sleeping right away, but lately he's been up more times of the day for about an hour or two at a time. he's also been really consistent with waking up every 2 hours on his own, and i think my body has adapted to this new schedule because i happen to get up every 60-90 minutes or so in the middle of the night, probably anticipating his feeds. at least i'm able to knock out pretty quickly between each feeding so i still get a break, and i try to get 1-2 naps per day..
his neck muscles are much stronger than Mya's! he moves his head ALOT when we're trying to burp him and i don't think we really even need to give him active tummy time because he moves so damn much. we think he's going to start rolling probably at about 2-3 months (that's usually a 4 month milestone) because he already likes moving. carlo said to me, "he's going to not be a baby much faster than mya" just because he's so damn mobile!
i really thought mya would be acting out or be more jealous of Jackson but she really loves playing with him and asks about him all the time. loves to watch him sleep and bring toys and food to him even though he can't play or eat yet. i think she's super excited to have a friend at home and she is really embracing the older sister role. SO CUTE!!! i still can't get over it. i can tell she genuinely loves him and doesn't do it to get attention from us.
other things:
he screams when he's hungry. i can tell distinctly between his hungry vs constipated cries
he's growing pretty fast! sucks we don't hve a scale at home to confirm and next appointment isn't for another 6 weeks or so, but carlo said he already moved one notch up for his car seat, and he's filling out the 0-3 month onesie much better than in week 1. his legs are also chubbing up
he gets cuter and cuter by day! his eyes are so big and open nowadays as he can see further and i can tell he's looking at me, or looking at something. he likes turning his head to wherever sound is being made and he loves when carlo reads to him :)
