 mya dentist appt - might have have PTSD from the doc appt the friday prior from the ONE HOUR wait time and the unkind nurse, but she didn't do as well this time around with the dentist. was super nervous and kept wanting to shut her mouth and whining a bit, but still got thru it. still very proud of her as she is very young!
i didn't go, but carlo did and he said he really wanted to leave bc mya was just so uncomfortable and being a slippery egg/trying to cling to carlo
mya is a VERY quick runner! i think she can run the same speed as me but her legs are actually just shorter so obviously i'm still overall "faster"
we did a 6.7 mile hike and land's end and mya actually walked ALL of it bc we didn't use a stroller or anything. she was a trooper and barely complained.. we need to do more hikes! :)
lately when jackson naps, she's been really good about generally self entertaining. i just need to have an activity or a new toy and she can keep herself entertained and i don't even have to be that present. i didn't have anything prepared a few times and i caught her just reading a book and looking at pictures by herself.
such a good comforting big sis (which i've mentioned i think, multiple times!) jackson got a nosebleed the other day and she actually was there holding an ice pack on his cheek for him while saying comforting things and i was so proud of her bc she usually gets weirdded out even when it's her own blood when she has nosebleeds. i said "everyone gets nosebleeds sometimes" and then mya jumped in with her own experience to explain to jackson.
she loves him so much and sometimes she does legit treat him like a cat or puppy and calls him jackson kitty/puppy and jackson loves playing along haha. he's such a good listener and blindly follows mya all the time. thankfully she's a good influence! speaking of which, there was a 5+ year old slide, and jackson typically never goes on slides by himself, not even the baby ones. this one time, he just went down and me and carlo watched in shock as he went down cuz moments earlier, carlo was like "mommy will go down with you," and i was like, "ehh, i dont really want to.." and we both didnt take action cuz he most likely wasnt gonna go but lo and behold, he did and it was a bumpy slide too! his body bumped and we were like :00000 but thankfully he came down safely and was ok and he didnt seem too phased lol. he went down another time and was OK, but after the third try, he realized he didn't like it and said it was scary, poor thing lol. he was OK when he went down on it in my lap (apparently hella CHEESSIINNN accordingly to carlo)

jackson doc appt to check ears - he was good! he actually responded to the doc verbally and physically, asking basic questions and then getting shy a bit later but still nodding. so cute!
when i picked mya up for her dentist appt, i actually found him, mya & shreya in the play house at school sitting together!! mya was telling me how he plays with her friends. ughh it must be so cute. i caught a little glimpse of how he acted after after mya left and jackson was just running around being carefree
jackson is such a cuddle bug! on a few occasions, i saw him grab myas hand just to cuddle with it
he loves to pull / run his fingers through my hair when im next to him
a lot of times before he sleeps he literally will smack his arm next to him just to make sure im there and not even bother turning around
BIG mommy phase currently!! randomly runs into my lap when im sitting on the floor just to cuddle with me. one morning when he woke up he literally just ran between my legs and hugged me. TOO CUTE. when he poops he also looks for me so i can hold his hand lol "my tummy still hurts"
still wakes up in the middle of the night to sleep with us

"i play with autumn" (he loves recounting his day before he sleeps after the lights are off..)

vegas trip!
jackson and chloe bonded SO much, running around everywhere, chloe falling and jackson picking her up
trip was pretty easy all things considering. the flight there was delayed prob 1.5-2 hours and the kids were such good sports about it. on the return trip, we didn't even have to bust out the iPad until an hour sitting on the plane bc the kids were just entertained on their own and talking, not even sure what they were doing
mya got sickon the trip but thankfully it was only a mild fever for about a day. she spent the first half of the day in bed but mustered enough energy to sit in the stroller and i decided to watch a show since it's low energy. we opted for the popovich pet comedy show and it was cute! hope it's something they'll remember. while mya was naping that day, jackson and daddy had a date with chloe and they were just running around cosmo playing around the big dragon installation with fog (mya and jackson were playing for hours here the day before!!)
