every weekend is getting easier bc the kids just play together and keep each other entertained til about 10:30-11 easily most times, though, we still have to go out early bc jackson naps pretty consistently before 1 PM nowadays.

first time seeing lion dancing (SSF library event). mya & jackson loved it!
i loved that mya beamed even more when she saw that it was two female lion dancers inside!

jackson - has to grab something before coming into our room in the middle of the night (grabbed a teddy bear and balloon one time, so cute! looked like he was a teddy bear going to a bday party)
REALLY gets into the frozen songs and does his own emotional renditions lol
loves to read still (teachers say the same thing!)

jackson graduated to next class
slept more at 9 PM for a good 2-3 weeks.. back to being 'on-schedule..'
i find it wild that i can actually have simple conversations.. growing up too fast!
he's such a doofus! when family was over, he was running around by himself and saying, "i have pillow on my head!!!!" randomly hops around by himself and runs around lol
loves watching frozen/elsa WAY more than Mya.. asks and whines for it incessantly where at least mya knows that she can't watch anymore so she doesn't ask for it

he is SO emotional and not only is he easily excitable, and consolable, but also easy to anger.. lol. his face just gets annoyed SO fast but at this age it's still so cute and i can't help but annoy him sometimes even though he whiles (like kissing him continually and touching his cheeks)

he is totally our jackson puppy! his personality is just like a puppy. he loves hugs and cuddles and pretty often when we're out, he holds my legs or goes in between my legs and just stays there like it's his safe space.
with new people, he communicates with his body and tongue, and not with words. if he is feeling shy and uncomfortable, he tenses up his shoulders and tilts his neck with an uncomfortable face. if he is feeling shy but more amicable, he sticks his tongue out and smiles and pretends to act like a baby by saying things like "blahblah"

chloe came over. mya actually was playing with both of them and mya would ask chloe "let's build it taller" and stuff and was great at guiding her. jackson on the other hand doesnt like sharing with chloe

no more dancing after dinner but daddy also switched the configuration of the living room so the big transformer table is in the middle and they don't have much space. lately she asks for "cake show" which is this youtube channel where a lady bakes mini things. it's actually fairly educational in that you see the process, and it is quite entertaining
loves the claw toy that calvin/susanna got for xmas
mya played with uncle carlton and calvin instantly when they visited!
loved her new years dress! loves twirling and being pretty. kept her hairclip on for once maybe because it was special

goes "UGHHH" when she's mad (i gotta get her to stop that..)
knows more of the words to the frozen songs than i do..
i still love when she directs jackson during their playtime together like "stuffy goes ABOVE the blanket, not under the blanket. say okay." (jackson): "okay"

her birthday!
i knew she had a grand old time when i didn't see her playing around - only saw her in the party room cuz she was too busy playing with her friends (emily & rose). got a glimpse of them talking to each other when they were eating!! so cute. "emily!! this is elsa right now" (talking about frozen song). the server there also asked what kind of pizza she wanted and she said "cheese". i wish i had more of an update here but i really didn't see her or jackson at all bc i was talking to adults for once. ha. jackson was pretty much led by serena for the second half of the party. he loves having direction and followoing else's lead. she was literally following her the whole time, but i think serena loved it too lol carlo said that serena was very catering and kept asking him qs and telling him things.

5 minute princess book. already caught her 3-4 times (within 24 hours) just sitting quietly and studying the pictures
foil art - did one picture by herself
writing set - wrote a letter to emily! asked me how to spell her name and she wrote mya under it. so cute! she was the only one that she wanted to write a letter to lol
stamp set - kept stamping everything
sticker book - already used prob 1/3 of the stickers, thanks to us staying on a rainy day. good day to receive so many new presents
