mya is such a sweetie! she surprises me with her intelligence and with something new every day, still. i think one of the cutest moments this month was when we were bantering with each other in the car, and i was like, "do you love mommy??" she said, "no!" and i was like, "awww.." and she said, "i love you, mommy!" aiyaaaa

first nightmare (where she was able to tell us the next day that she was scared and had a nightmare) - so sad
on sleep notes!! there was two instances where she actually left her room during a nap bc she was unhappy about something. that was the first time that she actually left her room during a nap/sleep bc she always has previously stayed in there. maybe she finally has the courage/is realizing she's not confined to her bed
comes out by herself in the morning when she's up for the day
first time we went to a restaurant and she exclaimed that she wanted to place her order by herself! i wasn't there (bc i was feeding jackson in the car) but apparently she asked for a menu, said that she wanted to order for herself, looked at the pictures, and said she wanted the crispies (eggrolls). we've offered her eggrolls before and she never cared for them so i was iffy if she was going to eat it. but she ate two out of three!
able to come out of the bathtub by herself now (a bit dangerous.. we told her to tell us when she comes out but she likes doing it by herself)
she was always independent but lately she wants even less help than before and gets mad when we help  her with stuff. understandably so!!
her favorite types of toys at target to look at are fake animals that move. we think she really wants a pet. recently she was pretty consistent with "i want a small cat, and a baby mouse". she's so enamored and fascinated when they move around.
she typically knows that we won't buy her toys at target but she did pick up a moving pig doll/toy and the way she held it so closely, I knew we couldn't leave the store without it. we kept the tag on thinking that if she gets bored of it within the week that we might return it. she really loves it so far and really treats it like her own pet. it was funny cuz she stuck a mini bottle in its mouth as if to feed it and she always laughs when it walks and shakes it tail. we put it in her bed once and she kept shushing it (bc it makes noises) and parroted me saying "shhh! don't talk. mya's trying to sleep)
can turn on the light switch without a stool now! (still too short to turn it off on her own)
hasn't really been interested in dinner lately. usually starts playing after eating a little bit
not napping at home on the weekends anymore (though she looks REALLY tired when she doesn't.. though she still pushes to her regular sleep time even if she doesn't nap)
able to climb out of the car by herself, and also put dress, pants, socks by herself! can put on her whole outfit. I was trying to help her out of the car and she said was a "spert".. and i was like what? OHH. EXPERT. hahaha. i use that term all the time.
was on a cocomelon roll for a while but started getting back into gabby a bit.
i ask mya what she wants to be for halloween and she consistently says 'horse'
loves playing pretend more than ever!! builds fake houses w/ magnatiles and puts paw patrols in there. builds a fake house with books/pillows for her dolls. pretends to be a mommy figure while i pretend to be a baby.
pushes bedtime a lot more nowadays by asking for more and more stories
takes off her shirt immediately when she wants to eats frozen blueberries (so funny). we always ask her to take her shirt off bc she tends to wipe the blueberry juice on herself and it stains pretty bad

Jackson
started being able to play longer on his own and i can see him piecing how things interact with each other
finally starting to roll around fluidly front and back but really prefers just being on his stomach to explore. always trying to turn to his side for diaper changes.
only food he's tried so far that he's disliked is raspberries! he makes a sour face
really has his food preferences! if i put two things on his plate, he'll just ignore the thing he doesn't care to eat and only picks up what he wants to eat (like i put a cauliflower and a piece of pork and he kept going after the pork).. this was diff from Mya in that she ate everything
starting to rock back and forth on his knees. seems like he'll officially crawl any time now!!
also does a pike position and likes to go on his toes
still only two teeth
laughs whenever mya laughs
loves bathtime! moves his feet while he's sitting and splashes all over himself and keeps doing it
third ear infection :( poor lil dude never gets a break.

always moving whenever he's on the floor or sitting. always constantly trying to grab things

in other news, carlo had his annual 2 week training in Pennsylvania so my mom came to visit/help me. def need help juggling 2 kids and bath/bedtime, as well as the morning getting ready for school time. plus Jackson still has his 4-5 AM wakeups so it's nice to have someone take those shifts while I get to sleep a tad bit more til the official morning. of course, mya loves popo and popo loves them both so much and it's nice to see all the interactions :3
