his feet are already filling up his 3-6 month onesie and he hasn't even turned 6 months yet!!
loves assisted standing
def loves being awake whereas mya loved to sleep.. don't remember ever having trouble putting her down in the day lol. he'll sometimes be awake for like 90 minutes, sleep for like 15 minutes, and be up for another hour..
vocal! cries or does a yelp when he doesn't like something. i don't remember mya ever having such opinions, and especially so young. she always just liked observing and going for the ride
seems to love dad! dad always is able to calm him down within 5 seconds
starting to like bathtime! doesn't cry at all when he gets put in the bath. just looks very alert but is quiet.
still eating every 2 hours T__T
loves playing with his tongue & making bubbles
loves chatting! wonder if he's an extrovert
sometimes does forceful yells instead of sneezes.. so cute lol

first christmas that she will have a memory of!
wanted to help open all the gifts and was adamant on getting every piece of paper of the boxes when ripping them open
got her a jumpy giraffe and my mom got her a polly pocket toy, which i think she likes equally. super cute watching her play with the mini figures in the polly pocket toys, i read that kids are obsessed with miniature things
i think her favorite is the book of mya + jackson given to her by uncle calvin + auntie susanna - so glad she loves books :)
my mom took a video of her reading a book (arthur / DW's glasses) and she was actually reciting the lines verbatim from the book, straight from memory. SUPER impressive, i didn't realize her memory was THAT good. we're suspecting she has a very vivid visual memory like dad (whereas I don't think in pictures, just thoughts)
still loves coloring. sometimes when we're all busy and i notice she's quiet by herself in the room, i'll go in to check on her, and more often than not, she's usually just at the table coloring with markers. getting more intentional with coloring, she colors specific areas with intention and emphasis, though of course still out of the lines.
can draw a happy face AND a sad face (also specifically *sad face *with tears*.. so cute!!
started liking a new show - puffin rock!
had a good 2 week stint where she was OBSESSED with raisins
still loves pretend play with the fake fruit we got her since she was about 18 months old and pretending it's tea/ice cream and picnicking with us
loves sitting in corners/in the closet
STILL LOVES reading and her new favorite is cat in the hat. she knew most of the words after about a week before me and carlo even memorized many of the lines!! and she can repeat them without even looking at the book
lately she wants us to read to her when there is a curtain between us when she is still in the bed and we're outside.. DOES SHE ALREADY NOT LIKE CUDDLING ANYMORE? growing up too fast!
getting easier with screen time. actually volunteers to help turn off and understands when it's no longer TV time, less fighting about it!
it's been really cold here, so there have been weekends where we just stay in (we usually try to go out on the weekends no matter what) - but she's been EASILY occupied with just her toys - mb b/c she likes playing with grandma too
played in the snow for the first time and made her first snow angel with daddy :) insisted on continuing to play outside even though it was cold!
currently has a booger picking phase.. lol
