first time where she sat down next to a kid on a play structure (a boy!) and smiled at him and actually was kinda talking to him
new fav: asian vegetables
loves running and frolicks by herself most times if it's a nice big open playground
ok with eating white fish now! so CRAZY
doesnt go in the room to jackson while he naps anymore and works on her activities on her own (bracelet making, foil art, sticker activity)
hasnt got tired of the stories book (with silver pages) we found at the park
loves to randomly tell me about cats "you know, cats don't need to go on walks. sometimes if they go outside, they need a stroller"
talked to tyler UNPROMPTED in like one of his first interactions with her!! so good that's she's getting more comfortable with grownups though she really doesn't like being put on the spot and still doesn't say hi, bye, or thank you to people
still super into her storybook after like 1-2 months now?!?

jackson
loves bananas, oatmeal, hot dogs, soft soupy rice, noodles, chicken & duck skin
tried bamboo, clams, and squid, and loves it
self potty training. generally pretty good about pooping in the toilet. likes to go pee when mya pees. seems to have a bigger bladder than mya - when he pees, there's always ALOT. he's went 5 days without a pee in his diaper overnight!!
SUCH a puppy, still grabs my legs lovingly and hugs them when he gets excited and still requires me to be next to him when he sleeps
tried a strider bike for the first time and loves it
OBSESSED with puzzles and can do a 24 piece puzzle with some guidance
still LOVES kisses and hugs xD.. comes up to give me unsolicited kisses sometimes
doesn't say his s's (mell my feet! im noopy! i need my tick!)
"banilla ice cream" you want chock-lick ice cream? it's four dollars
randomly professes his love to us lol "i love mommy, i love daddy, i love jie jie" - he's so sweet! he's gonna miss mya so much when she starts school :(
likes to "balance" (walking on curbs)
getting better at coloring inside the lines and can almost draw a straight line now (vs last month he couldn't even fathom what that meant)
loves to sing expressively while walking around after dinner lol almost broadway like "i am ariel!!" i don't know but i have toooooo"


visited uncle carltons house - mya LOVESSSS mochi and jackson is ok / not scared of mochi anymore! he loves petting soft and slow/calm animals too and likes petting bailey. i also caught mya actually TALKING to carlton unprompted. carlton said he has to try really hard and to play hard with her first to get her to open up before she says anything to him.
went to emily's bday party. she was more nervous than usual i think bc it's hard to break into a group that you haven't seen for 2 months. she didn't want to participant in the led-activities in the beginning but then joined at the end when it involved things that wasn't direct attention to folks
chloe bday party - the three musketeers had a nice 20 minute stint where they literally kept going down the slide over and over again! jackson was super overtired near the end and it was just so funny seeing him all drunk and pushing this obstacle out of the way after the end of the slide to go up the stairs to the slide again
fairyland - they literally went on the carousel 10+ times in a row. they went on a ferris wheel for the first time and i think they did that 3x in a row.
all day adventure with chloe at great mall. apparently they were just running around and darting everywhere!
napa - mya LOVES staying at hotels. for her, a vacation means vegas though. i think their highlights of the trip was eating macarons for the first time at bouchon, playing at a water fountain (fishing for flower petals with a stick), and then visiting sonoma train town. the train actually went pretty fast and we all went on a roller coaster for the first time! they loved it. carlo has a video with him and jackson and jackson looked so terrified and almost tears in his eyes lol but then carlo asks, "was that fun?" and he says, "yeah" and on the second go, he looked a lot more excited and happy

they actually haven't been watching TV that much since they've been busy with carlo. if he does turn something on, it's usually animal planet
lately we've been watching olympics and it was funny to see jackson do arm motions by himself while he was watching swimming
